Tyro Go now available in over 300 Telstra stores Australia wide

Tyro Go, a mobile EFTPOS reader that accepts payments on the go, is now available to purchase in more than 300 Telstra stores and Telstra Business Technology Centres Australia wide.

The low cost, easy to use, and portable device that connects wirelessly to smart phones or tablets is perfect for mobile businesses that need to take payments on the go, such as tradies, cafes, or pop-up stores.

“Customers will be able to walk into a Telstra store, buy a Tyro Go EFTPOS reader, and be taking payments that same day,” said Tyro CEO Jon Davey.

“Tyro Go simplifies the way businesses take payments and can be used as a standalone reader or alongside other Tyro devices. It’s perfect for any business on the move, from market stalls to retail staff taking payments on the floor.”

Tyro became Telstra’s exclusive partner in offering merchant acquiring solutions to small and medium business customers in February 2022.

“Our local experts are now able to provide Tyro Go directly to customers in our Telstra stores right across the country, further strengthening our commitment to connecting small businesses in the community with the best technology and payments solutions available in the digital economy,” said Telstra’s Small Business Executive Anne Da Cunha.

“This launch complements our existing offering with Tyro, which thousands of small business customers have already taken up. Customers will be able to choose the new Tyro Go device, Tyro’s existing EFTPOS machines, or both, to suit their needs,” she added.

The Tyro Go EFTPOS reader is small enough to fit in your pocket, connects to compatible iOS or Android smart devices, and can send branded receipts via email. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, eftpos, American Express, JCB, as well as digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Tyro Go is complemented by Tyro’s new digital onboarding platform which enhances the experience for businesses signing up for Tyro products.
