  • Who is Tyro Go suitable for?

    Tyro Go is a great option for any business wanting the flexibility to take payments on the go, have simple payment needs, or to complement existing EFTPOS solutions in-store.

    It’s particularly useful for market stalls, tradies who take payments on the jobsite, retail stores and cafés that need to quickly get through queues, health professionals who visit their patients, or any businesses and sole traders wanting an easy, fuss-free way to take payments.

  • How often should I charge the Tyro Go?

    The battery life on the Tyro Go can vary depending on how often you use it. The Tyro Go can still be used while charging, and we recommend keeping the battery level above 20% to avoid connection issues.

    Note: To reduce the likelihood of encountering issues, please charge the Tyro Go to its full capacity, then take it off charge

  • When will transactions ask for a card’s PIN?

    Generally, contactless transactions over $100 for Mastercard and over $200 for other schemes will require the customer to enter their PIN via the Tyro Go App. The customer’s PIN will be required for any transactions when the card is inserted into the reader.

  • Can multiple users use the Tyro Go at the same time?

    The Tyro Go EFTPOS reader can only be connected to a single user at a time, so if multiple people want to use a single Tyro Go it will need to be disconnected and reconnected each time a different person wants to use it.

  • Can I process a refund on Tyro Go?

    Yes, it is easy to process a refund in the Tyro Go App. Select “More options” and “Refund payment” at the bottom of the payment screen, enter your User PIN and start the refund process.

  • Can I perform a transaction while offline?

    Offline transactions are not permitted. The smart device you use for the Tyro Go App must have an internet connection – either a mobile (3G, 4G, or 5G) or a WiFi connection. In addition, your Tyro Go must be connected to the smart device via Bluetooth.
